projects of the PPIE call 2020

11 funded projects have been selected in the first pilot call of our Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement Implementation (PPIE) programme, a second funding round of the call is planned for October 2021. The programme supports Austrian research institutions in actively involving patients and the public in research projects and thus actively promotes citizen participation in science. The PPIE team also supports the implementation of the projects by providing advice, topic-specific training with expert workshops and webinars, and a peer network that facilitates exchange and shared learning: read more. Here we showcase the 11 selected projects starting in March 2021, which address different challenges in the health and social science fields and involve patients and citizens in their research projects in different ways.
